What is truth? “God’s Word is truth.” But what does God’s Word really mean? There is much disagreement within today’s understanding of the Christian message. Accordingly, there are numerous denominations and “non-denominations.” Truly, we need the interpretation given by the Holy Spirit to comprehend the Spirit-given Word. However, there is sure evidence that another spirit has crept into the thinking of many of today’s preachers.

Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 2 Timothy 4:3

To be sure, it is not all of the preacher’s fault. Parishioners demand popular messages. Those who preach them are often financially rewarded.

Nonetheless, it is shocking what is being preached today. Some famous preachers are now saying that Jesus may not be the only way after, seemingly, faithfully preaching the Gospel for many years. One such preacher is now saying that Jesus was not the Messiah for the Jews and that He did not claim to be their Messiah.

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22

A whole host of “prosperity gospel” preachers are now coming under the judgment of God.

They are fat, they are sleek,They also excel in deeds of wickedness; They do not plead the cause,The cause of the orphan, that they may prosper; And they do not defend the rights of the poor. Jeremiah 5:28

Their ministries are being torn apart. Get out of their churches and get away from them now.

One famous preacher is openly pronouncing curses on his critics, even in the context of a “worship” service.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

“Evangelicalism” and “Pentecostalism” have gone the way of “isms?” I never thought I would see this type of heresy so openly and blatantly preached. Pastors and preachers:

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28
